DELTA ILLESCAS S.L. has received a grant for its energy saving and efficiency project, «IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF THE LUMINAIRES AT THE DELTA ILLESCAS PRODUCTION PLANT.» This project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), coordinated by the IDAE (Institute for Diversification and Saving of Energy), and managed by regional governments under the National Energy Efficiency Fund, with the goal of achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy.

An energy saving and efficiency project has been developed, consisting of the replacement of existing halogen luminaires in the plant with LED lighting, resulting in a significant reduction in electricity consumption. The final energy savings amount to 17.821 toe/year

Industrias Delta Vigo participates in the development of the ECOMAP project – EVOLUTION OF COOKING IN COMPOSITE MATERIALS, whose objective is to achieve a qualitative technological leap, through the research of a disruptive manufacturing technology, which allows to face the challenges posed by the production in composite materials (carbon fibre) of complex and integrated aerostructures for commercial aircraft of very high cadence in order to make their design and manufacture feasible.

This project has been subsidised by the CDTI, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Innovation, with file number PTAP-20221003 through the call for the year 2022 of the procedure for granting aid for the «Aeronautics Technology Programme
Aeronautical Technology Programme», of the State Programme to Catalyse Innovation and Business Leadership of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2021-2023, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Delta Vigo Aeroestructuras participa en el desarrollo del proyecto CUVICO – PANEL DE SECCIÓN CÓNICA DE FUSELAJE CON CUADERNAS, VIGAS Y LARGUERILLOS COCURADOS, cuyo objetivo es conseguir un salto tecnológico cualitativo que viabilice la fabricación en materiales compuestos (fibra de carbono) de estructuras de fuselaje complejas e integradas para aeronaves comerciales de muy alta cadencia, de manera que se pueda realizar un diseño optimizado y multidisciplinar de estructuras que puedan formar parte de un nuevo fuselaje avanzado ultra-eficiente, contribuyendo al desarrollo del avión con cero emisiones.

Este proyecto ha sido subvencionado por el CDTI, con el apoyo del Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación, con número de expediente PTAP-20211001 a través de la convocatoria para el año 2021 del procedimiento de concesión de ayudas destinadas a Iniciativas Estratégicas Sectoriales de Innovación Empresarial (“Programa Tecnológico Aeronáutico”), en el marco del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia (financiado por fondos Next Generation EU, entre ellos el Mecanismo de Recuperación y Resiliencia) y del Programa Estatal de Liderazgo Empresarial en I+D+i, del Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica y Técnica y de Innovación 2017-2020

Cuyo objetivo es abordar la investigación en tecnologías de fabricación inteligentes, automatizadas y de alta cadencia, así como nuevos materiales que mejoren la huella de carbono de las aeronaves y tecnologías de reciclado que aseguren la economía circular. PEGASO se centra en investigar la fabricación automatizada, optimizada, económica y eco-eficiente de un ala de avión comercial de pasillo único, y de alta cadencia de producción, en material compuesto preimpregnado de fibra de carbono frente a la solución actual metálica.

This event, which aims to promote the aerospace industry in Galicia, brought together over 200 professionals and included interventions of companies, organizations and institutions of the industry, at local, national and European level.

Francisco Puga, CEO of Delta Vigo, was one of the speakers at the Congress, and in his speech stressed the hours spent in the sector throughout the history of the company. He also said that his goal is to achieve greater international capacity for the coming years as: «A global world needs global solutions to meet their needs, and it is essential to give more added value to customers than our competitors».
